Elective courses
The Faculty of Arts offers a plethora of courses at the advanced level. Depending on which MA programme/specialisation you are enrolled in, there may be limitations as to what courses you can include in your degree. Make sure you read your programme syllabus carefully so that you know which courses are obligatory and to what degree you can choose your elective courses freely. If you are unsure, contact your home department for advice on what to do and how much freedom you have in choosing your elective courses. Please remember that to obtain a Master’s degree you must also fulfil the criteria specified in the Higher Education Ordinance.
